Pictured is Finnish alpine skier Kalevi Häkkinen, one of the earliest proponents of speed skiing. He placed 11th in the combined alpine at the Winter Olympics in Cortina in 1956 and broke speed records in the ’60s. Kalevi hit 125 mph at the 1992 Olympics (at 64 years old), likely much faster than the car above has ever gone.
